As one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, Fresh Direct Produce is looking for an energetic and proactive Accounting Specialist - AR team player to join our dynamic Vancouver team!

This full-time position reports to the Assistant Accounting Manager and is responsible for handling day-to-day account receivable activities within the department, as well as provide Customer Service (CSR) relief coverage. The successful candidate will be a strong team collaborator, able to work independently, and has solid analytical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

• Maintaining A/R - ensuring routine payments are received in a timely manner
• Evaluating and maintaining credit applications
• Processing invoices via ERP Program and customer EDI systems
• Investigating and following up on customer claims
• Reconciling invoices with accounts
• Ensuring weekly and bi-monthly statements are sent out in a timely manner
• Liaising and working with the Sales Team on problem accounts
• Daily posting of cash payments

• CSR Support, which includes reception desk & data entry, relief coverage when required (shifts may include mornings, weekends, and holidays) 
• Data Entry work, including processing invoices, credit notes & other accounting documents & updating records
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Post-secondary education in Accounting an asset
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in an accounting environment preferred
• Intermediate Excel & technical competency
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with others
• Knowledge of Cantonese and Mandarin an asset
