Consultant – M&A Integration (Food Industry Focus)

We’re looking for a highly experienced Consultant to lead the integration of a future company acquisition into our existing operations. If you have a proven track record in M&A integration and a background in the food industry (distribution, processing, or manufacturing), we would love to hear from you!  As a consultant, you will bring your expertise to the forefront, influencing strategy and outcomes during a defining period of growth for our organization.

Scope of the Project

• Develop and execute a comprehensive integration plan with clear milestones and timelines.
• Partner with all departments – from Operations to IT - and our leadership teams to ensure seamless alignment across all functions.
• Identify and prioritize the biggest efficiency and performance opportunities across our teams, predominantly sales, procurement, freight, warehousing, finance, admin, food safety, and IT.
• Implement cross-training programs to build flexible, high-performing teams across the organization.
• Establish structured meeting cadences for all departments to maintain communication, accountability, and progress tracking.
• Utilize project management tools, dashboards, and Excel-based trackers to monitor KPIs, deadlines, and deliverables with full visibility.
• Identify synergies, streamline processes, and recommend best practices for operational scalability and profitability.
• Provide regular progress updates to leadership and address risks or challenges proactively.
 

Your Qualifications

• Proven experience in M&A integration within complex, multi-departmental organizations.
• Knowledge of the food industry—distribution, processing, or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong project management skills with expertise in building and maintaining trackers, dashboards, and reporting systems.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to hit deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
