IMPORT PRODUCE BUYER

As an Import Buyer, you will be a key driving influence in our company in purchasing.  With an entrepreneurial attitude, the Import Buyer will be strategically building strong relationships with suppliers and customers while managing produce commodities to meet customers’ needs.

Responsibilities

• Developing in-depth product knowledge and managing your produce categories
• Sourcing new commodities from reliable suppliers
• Developing marketing opportunities
• Managing the supply chain logistics from farms/packers, through our warehouses, to customers' shelves
• Meeting targets, with healthy gross margins

Qualifications

• Business degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years' fresh produce or food purchasing experience
• Effective communication skills with fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin and or Cantonese) reading, writing and speaking abilities
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and strong follow through
